The asymmetrical foot of the glasses in the Smoke collection is designed so that they can be held safely, without giving up the taste of a cigar or a cigarette: the perfect glasses to enjoy an all day long expected moment.
Joe Colombo Designer
Joe Colombo was born in Milan in 1930 and trained at the Brera Academy. His career as a designer began in 1953 and unfortunately ended prematurely in 1971.
Joe Colombo was one of the most innovative industrial designers of the last century and thanks to his great acumen he was able to intuit the historical trends and social changes of the future. Among his most important projects are the “Elda” and “Minikitchen” armchairs, designed in 1963, the “Spider” lamp, in 1967, the famous “Boby” trolley, in 1970.
Joe Colombo has won 2 Compassi d’oro and many of his works have been exhibited at the MoMa and MMA in New York and at the Vitra Design Museum in Berlin.
